March for Women's Lives in D.C.

Spunky and I (D-cubed) traveled with a sizeable contingent from Kansas to march in the largest march ever on the Washington D.C. mall for Women's rights. Joining us were many other people who often join us escorting at local clinics. The March was a great success brining in over a million people united to preserve freedoms not just for women but for all Americans. The antis had a presence too, but they were hardly noticeable. They estimated having about a thousand counter protestors (it was more like 200). I know all of you love seeing the antis made fun of but sadly I gathered so few pictures of them because there numbers were so small. They made less than 1% of the crowd there despite their claims of being in the majority.

These lovely anarchists trailed a group of antis who trespassed onto the space reserved for the marchers.

Ran into a couple people distributing the March signs all over the city. Aphrodite and I managed to grab a couple from the wheatpasters. Although they were up the next morning by the afternoon the antis had removed a sizeable number of them. I was told there were anti signs around town but I hadn't been able to find any. Whenever Danny found some she tore them down like a good, young liberal.

The highlight of the day was the Holocaust Memorial Museum. It contained the expected pictures and videos of corpses and Nazis along with camp artifacts. What I really enjoyed was the fact they pushed that it was the Communists, liberals and socialists who were the ones who offered the most assistance to the Jews and preserving their rights. It was the Protestant churches (with one exception) who gladly stood with Hitler.

They only resisted Hitler's effort to unite them all as one church, none of the propaganda that Hitler was trying to destroy Christianity was mentioned, probably because it didn't happen. The most touching to me was the section where the resisters were displayed. These were ordinary citizens who were outraged. Catholics, Protestants, secular people who put their lives on the line to save some strangers. They would be denounced as unpatriotic and liberals today by the conservative fascists who openly support the dictator wannabee Bush. There was a decent section devoted to the White Rose, a group of students who banded together like the Maggot Punks to resist fascism. They were caught and executed. It's insulting that the

fundies in the Army of God would think they have any association with this group of liberal intellectuals who enjoyed works by Stephan Zweig. The AOG, who hold their annual White Rose banquet in honor of convicted terrorists for Christ who are right-wing fundamentalist fascists who think the Bible is the only source of knowledge. They are the complete opposite of the White Rose. Just like the fascist Nazis who incorporated the title of socialist, or the Buddhist symbol of peace they used contradictory items to promote the lies they use to seduce the population with an image they will never hold as an ideal. The White Rose and the other resisters fought for more freedom and for civil rights, exactly the opposite of the antis who want to take those away.

Another interesting fact concerned book burning. The antis will tell you Margaret Sanger was a Nazi sympathizer and supported the genocidal policies of the Nazis. If that's the case then why did the Nazis burn her books? If she was such a promoter of their cause then why would they stab themselves in the foot by eradicating American made propaganda? It's because she opposed Nazi ideology. She was for women's freedom and the freedom of reproductive choice. The Nazis hated abortion and they hated birth control. The Nazis ran on the family values platform. This meant they supported the Conservative Christian ideology of today. The Christian religion must be forced in the schools, women must breed for the Homeland, and they must stay at home and be subservient to the husband. These are the values the pro-choicers say must not be forced but are for the woman to choose.

So what about the policy of genocide? Genocide means the eradication of a particular population. Nazis supported the genocide of Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, Communists, liberals and Freemasons. Don't look for these people on the membership rolls of Operation Rescue.

On the second day I had the decision to attend the Vatican embassy protest or the IMF protest. Seeing that the IMF protest was much closer to the NOW headquarters I joined that. Although there was a decent turnout it was a spectacle of disaster for the leftist movement. A broad collection of viewpoints, political parties and ideologies were present but there were there for self serving reasons rather than a united coalition. The IMF/World Bank gathering was more for show than anything. One couldn't walk for more than five minutes without having someone trying to sell you their propaganda in the form of newspapers, bumper stickers, magnets or elaborate banners all of which rarely had anything to do with the subject of the march. The support Nader crowd was there to endorse Nader despite the fallacy that Nader would do nothing to promote the movement, the Libertarians were just there to be a thorn as usual, the Socialist party was near the Socialist Party USA, who was near the Community party, who was near the Green party who was near the International Workers of the World. None were focused on a strategy to accomplish their goal of reforming the IMF or World Bank, much less shut it down, but was just interesting in spreading the size of their mailing lists and subscriptions. Their complete abhorrence of a unified confederacy will result in many, many more years of ineffective bickering and pointless whining producing no positive results whatsoever. Really pathetic was how so many of them hated capitalism but were so eager to participate as some petty bourgeoisie. I left early as my goddess to the godless

was arriving in town. Reports later had the event to be free of violence as there was no riots or police brutality proving that the only way to experience violence is when it is police initiated by some overzealous Republican crony in Florida.

I attended a Democracy for America meeting with the Goddess. DFA is a PAC which evolved from the Howard Dean campaign. The Goddess is the one who came up with the idea of the grassroots campaign from the meetup.com website. She explained how it began from her involvement in the atheist meetup and how others involved in the campaign initially rejected the idea as pointless. Of course it ended up being the one factor that propelled Dean above the other candidates in terms of popularity and fundraising. Now every candidate will jump on the bandwagon. It just proves that the failures of the Democratic Party are from the failure to embrace new technologies and ideas. The Republicans will openly embrace any Machiavellian tactics from complete media control to illegal gathering of church endorsements. The Democrats are still in the era where they will go town to town on train rides and tent revivals. Democrats act defeated because they feel defeated, or is that the other way around?
Democracy for America came about from the mass organization of

devoted campaigners who sought the freedom of expression and the willingness to present new ideas in a campaign which encouraged people to get involved and become leaders. Other campaigns often just tell people to send money or do what the hierarchy tells them. Had the "liberal" media not been under orders from the Republican Party to assassinate the movement of the Dean campaign we would have seen the full effect of a massive grassroots campaign that hadn't been seen since the 30s when third party progressive movements presented a serious challenge to the two main parties. DFA uses the talent and connections to win support for other progressive candidates. A thousand members of this movement were present at the march.

In this photo we see the insane Bible thumper actually trying to thump someone with a Bible. Next to her is a cast member reject of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman who took time out from churning butter to show us how appealing one can look in a dress made from a tablecloth. In the background is some guy preaching to a tree that he should accept Jesus and produce many little Jesus nuts.

On day three I got to a late start in the morning as my goddess and I were up until three in the morning drinking champagne in the park. Anywho today was the day of the big march. Dragging ourselves out of the bed the Goddess went to meet with the Dean crowd, I went to look for a friend from Portland and hook up with the Kansas crowd.

Thankfully hundreds of thousands of people avoided the Metro meaning that getting to the event wasn't terribly problematic. After a bit of trouble I found Taj who I had met when Annie Sprinkles and I attended a NNAF training event in Portland. Our efforts to find the Kansas delegation that we came with was futile so we simply marched below towering puppets with belly dancers on our left and bisexuals with wardrobe malfunctions on our right dancing to the rhythmic beats of a dozen drummers. I split early to meet up with the Goddess so we could march together and harass the antis. This was the most enjoyable part of the march. What sort of Maggot Punk story would this be if it didn't include a section insulting the antis.

The first group we came across was the most vocal, angry and sexually repressed. This crowd was the same that protested during the Godless March. They call themselves Street Preachers and they are led by Ruben Israel, who is actually is someone with a sense of humor.

He pointed back with a smile when I shouted out his name and waved hello. Not all his associates have a sense of humor. The Bible beater to the right (how appropriate given the look in this picture) thought he could win me over to Jesus with screams and insults. Of course I never think I can reason with these sort of people so I just pretended to be unable to hear him. It's not that much of a lie since my hearing isn't the greatest. So as he kept on screaming that I'm a baby killer I pretended like I couldn't hear him. As a result one of his sheepish friends handed him a megaphone so he could tell me how much of an "educated idiot" I am. I asked him how much of an education he had and he said he has seven years of education. Let's see, that would make him a proud graduate of grammar school. I'm sure he treasures that diploma which he hangs over his teenage wife/cousin's bed every night. He got particularly upset because I couldn't stop laughing. It shows that what the Maggot Punks do, laugh at the antis, is effective because they want to be taken seriously but just get insulted when they are viewed as nothing more than entertainment akin to a Jerry Springer show.

One thing you may notice in the photos is these people were surrounded by riot police in full body armor. Given that this person threatened me with violence it shows that the police (all officers were forced to be on duty that day so they weren't happy, at least the riot cops weren't because they had morons shouting in their ears all day). What is interesting is that the only violence to result from the day was when Troy Newman's friend, Chuck Spignola of the Army of God (who claim they don't exist, I think it says that on their website, armyofgod.com, or maybe they said that in the documentary, 'Soldiers in the Army of God', no wait, they said they are members in that documentary. This may be hard to see but this five year old girl is holding a sign saying that she regretted her abortion. So we should assume a lot of other protestors holding the same signs never had an abortion either. It proves antis must resort to lies and emotional appeals.

Some of you may be wondering about the Army of God who claimed they were going to appear at the protest. Well I didn't see them. It may not be because they weren't there but because the antis were so small in number they were insignificant. There were probably only about 200 counter protestors. Randall Terry said his new organization had 100,000 members but since I'm considered a member of that organization (I sent for free materials to rip off his organization) the numbers are quite inflated. Anyway, Spunky Flasher saw John O'Toole father down the march route. He was blocked from the crowd by the mounted police. This meant he had to spend the day sniffing the asses of horses. He probably felt at home since his nostrils spent many days lodged up the crack of Neal Horsley. That job has been replaced by Erick Eggleton, amateur nude model and chronic masturbator who boasted he was going to be at the event with tazers and pepper spray and was quite eager

to run into me, and perhaps rub up against me much like a randy dog would. Well Spunky and I never saw Erick, neither did anyone from the Maggot Punk/Zap delegation. It may have been because the FBI had been tipped about their presence and their desire to promote hostilities; I wonder who was responsible for that.

Moving down the crowd there were a few more protestors. There was the Catholic priest broadcasting his voice through the ass of a Jesus on a crucifix. Other Catholic priests were present as well. Some were, as the Goddess pointed out, clear closet cases. Others were dressed like Neo from the Matrix. They didn't get it when I complemented them on their Goth attire. There was the five year old girl holding a sign saying that she regretted her abortion.

Of course we'll bring you topless bisexuals but this is a family website so you only get to see their backs. How many of you hate me now?

The Church Ladies for Choice take requests. I request they annoy the antis and they deliver.

There was the young girl who tried to inform me that all abortionists provide partial birth abortions, then many of them do, then just some of them do. Of course she couldn't name one and she was clueless about the fact that there is no actual medical procedure called "partial birth" abortion so she tuned me out and shouted at others as being baby killers. There was one moron (hold on, that doesn't narrow anything down), well one other moron who said living as a birth defective ridden vegetable is better than being dead. I asked him when he was dead to know what it was like and all he could do was ask if I had been dead. This is an example of the intellect of the anti-abortion crowd, answering questions with questions and never supporting their claims. I asked his friend how many children he adopted and he said zero.

Further on one other screaming woman was asked by me how many children she adopted. First she said that she was adopted (which never answered the question), then she said she had two children of her own (but that doesn't mean she adopted) eventually she answered the expected zero. Zero seems to be the quota of adoptions by the anti-choice crowd. They want women to put the children up for adoption but they don't want to adopt any (except for Randall Terry who adopted three, one a flaming queer who had sex parties when Randall was away on protests, a teenager who is pregnant and unmarried, and other who has had sex and children out of marriage, but at least he practiced what he preached. Oh yeah, he cheated on his wife and divorced her too like the typical moral fundy would do). There was one woman who could only shout that she isn't a racist. What that had to do with anything I don't know. A couple of antis wrote on their skateboards that all the marching women belonged in the kitchen. If you think that is an isolated position just listen to what Street Preacher

Were there any arrests? Yes there were, but none of them were on charges of baby killing (you see, it must be some sort of Marxist, Jewish Illuminati conspiracy). A total of 17 people were arrested, all of them moral fundies. Sixteen fundies from the Christian Defense Coalition were arrested on charges of marching without a permit. I didn't see this but our Maggot Punk supporter Lisa witnessed Troy Newman being dragged away in handcuffs. It's no wonder Cheryl had to do the half truth write-up on their website. The antis feel the laws don't apply to them so the March organizers bought permits to reserve space for the march and the antis believed they have the right to march on this reserved spot (despite never providing any of the finances needed and ignoring their right to protest on the visible sidelines like many antis did peacefully). Of course the fundies think the laws don't apply to them, that's often what domestic terrorists believe. The other arrest was by another anti who was throwing ink filled plastic eggs to destroy the signs of the antis. It's ironic how Troy Newman, and Erick Eggleton claimed they received vandalism threats but the only vandalism came from the antis. On a previous day Troy's friend Jeff White was arrested for displaying human remains. Again the irony, the antis think life is sacred but they'll but a corpse on display for political gain. The antis prove time and time again the police are needed to keep the antis in line, not the law abiding pro-choicers who value freedom and civil rights.
