We are stupid Nazis. That is what the Courageous Champions of Choice were called today by a new nut from Denver we shall name Fred Phelps Jr. Fred came up to the clinic gate and asked us if we worked here [at the clinic]. I said no, and responded with, "Do you work here." He said yes, and later on said he was paid $83 an hour. This wasn't going to be the only lie he espoused today but to get them all it is best you listen to our recording of the event. After that short exchange he asked us if we knew who the Nazis were, he didn't like my answer and spent the rest of the day spreading his Xian love by calling us stupid Nazis. Although I covered this issue in a past headline with Rev. Dan perhaps I should go farther in educating the fundies in what the Nazis believe. Once we scan over their ideology it would obscene to conclude that CCC's are Nazis or Nazi supporters. As a pro-choice, left-wing, socialist, anti-corporate, pro-privacy, anti-big brother government Atheist I wouldn't fit the ideal of a Nazi. The Nazi's are fascists which is the exact opposite of socialism. In fact fascism was created in opposition to socialism. It is no surprise Hitler and the Nazis used Communists as scapegoats, often referring to them as godless and it was their spiritual duty to combat Communism. Trade unions were ended, socialists and Communists were executed, abortion was outlawed, police invasions of privacy were legal and women were treated as subservient to male authority. The Nazi view of women is similar to the fundamentalist Christian view of women, at least the fundy protesters we encounter at the clinic. According to a British university's website feminism was considered a societal evil (the escorts encourage feminism), women shouldn't work (MPs support a woman's right to work with equal pay for equal work), abortion was considered a crime since increased |

fertility were desirable (obviously we support the right to abortion), women should stay out of politics (MPs help on campaigns of female politicians), so when it comes to women the Maggot Punks can't be enlisted amongst the Nazi regime. How else are the MP not like Nazis? Well there are many ways. As covered before Hitler was a Christian and encouraged Christianity in Germany and only Christians were allowed in the Nazi party. Obviously since we are all Atheists we wouldn't make very good Nazis. The clinic protesters are all Christian so they are more likely to be eligible for party membership. The Nazis also hated Jews which was common in the European culture at the time. Jews were viewed as Christ killers. Since the MPs are Atheists we don't give a crap about the bible's mythology so we don't hold a grudge against the Jews, not anymore than we do against Christians, Hindus or New Agers. We certainly don't condemn Jews to hell or target them as scapegoats for degrading society. So for being anti-Semitic we'd have to look at the Christians who have religious motivations for such hatred. Then there is the economic system of Nazism. The Nazis controlled the centers of production for the benefit of advancing the state and the rich upper-class. Hitler was put in power by the corporate elite and they were paid back for it with huge government contracts (sounds like a current President we know). Worker's rights were removed, trade unions were abolished, strikers were arrested and imprisoned, taxes were created that solely benefited religious groups. the establishments of monopolies. It's neither capitalism which promotes free trade and lack of government interference in business, nor is it socialism which controls the basic necessities of production for the benefit of all societal levels (such as power, transportation and health care) but does not incorporate all levels of production as in fascism (yes, Stalin's government was fascist and only Communist in name). Well enough of that. Freddy Jr. only views all supporters of abortion rights as Nazis. He has a very narrow view of history and reality. Since he was only interested in spewing Christian insults there was no point in attempting to educate him. Don't think I'm through with him yet since he did wear a silly little OSA shirt that contained many factual errors. His
shirt on the front said "Intolerance. Jesus said…"
And on the back it claimed that Jesus condemned homosexuality as a
sin, Islam as wrong and abortion as a sin. First off there is nowhere
in the New Testament where Jesus makes reference to homosexuals. He
did intervene in a stoning of an adulterer and said the famous phrase,
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Apparently
Freddy Jr. thinks he is free of sin. Since he condemned the MPs to
hell he must be sinless because only god has the authority to send
people to hell. Sounds like blasphemy is a sin and offense against
god, but what does he care about the facts? As for Islam Jesus never
made mention of it. Islam wasn't created until many years after the
death of Jesus. Mohammed was born in 570 AD so Jesus would have to
be a very old prophet to have condemned Mohammed as wrong. The third
point is also false. Abortion isn't mentioned by Jesus anywhere in
the New Testament so he couldn't have condemned that either. The Maggot
Punks To end up the day Freddy went out in front of a patient's care, stopped it and placed his hands on the hood. Normally a mandatory fine of $3000 and some time in prison but he was lucky to get a warning. The police officer had to get out into the rain and pull him aside. As expected Freddy denounced the officer as a stupid Nazi among other insults. The other Christians at the clinic didn’t care to associate with him, I don't blame them. As promised on August 13, here are the highlights from our conversation with Fred Phelps, Jr. If you have listened to the entire file, you know that there are several inaudible parts.
