Forfeited Operations

Residents of Wichita may be dismayed, screw that, pleased, ummm, elated to hear that Operation Rescue and Operation Southwind are no longer legally able to do business in Kansas. These two groups let their business licenses expire and have been forfeited.

Operation Rescue AKA Operation Rescue West AKA Youth Ministries AKA Youth Mission

Operation Southwind, only known as Operation Southwind

All of you remember Operation Rescue because they lost their tax-exempt status this month and happen to physically attack someone if they remind them about their failures. Well, back in the day the Maggot Punks sent a complaint to the Kansas Secretary of State that Troy hadn't registered his group with the state which is required by law if a group raises more than $10,000. So Troy filed in March of 2005. That's about the time he claims that he gave up his tax exempt status. What's the point of registering as a non-profit if you gave up that status? Oh, could Troy be lying? Probably, since OR had just been audited by the IRS and thought their record was squeaky clean.

So it really isn't any surprise that Troy let his state registration collapse. However the problem is that I can't find anywhere that Operation Rescue is registered with the state. Someone that pulls in hundreds of thousands of dollars should be registered as a business. I suppose ol' Troy is finally admitting to himself that his whole operation is just a means to provide for himself and his cronies. He has yet to brag to his audience that he stood up to the IRS and gave away their tax-exempt status. Perhaps he can't even buy that lie.

Now for crazy conspiracy theory nut Jan Beemer who thinks Dr. Tiller sacrifices babies to Baal in order to improve his crop yields. You're like, "But Dr. Tiller isn't a farmer." That's right, because Beemer is about as sane as Richard Simmons is straight. Beemer ran the organization Operation Southwind whose entire purpose it was was to look at lots and lots of porn, but for strictly research purposes (wink, wink). People convicted with hoards of child porn have said the same thing. Now it may be that Beemer figures the Southwind display has done it's purpose, not to get porn shops in court, but to propel her political ambitions. Because, like Troy, her social activism is more about herself rather than improving society. This is the same woman who would prefer to see women die rather than get an abortion that would be necessary to save the woman's life.

Troy Newman Faces Battery Charge

Following ORW's loss of tax-exempt status, D-cubed, your fearless Maggot Punk reporter, went to the Kline/Morrison debate. There were going to be tv cameras there so that meant Troy Newman and his band of not so-merry thugs to interview them about their loss of tax exempt status. Needless to say the antis weren't very receptive and became violent on two occassions. To Cheryl Sullenger's credit she remained non-violent and didn't try to bomb anything again.

The first part of the video I talk to Cheryl Sullenger, the spokesperson of ORW. In the background wearing the dirty sanchez is Brad Bennett who used to host something called the Godarchy Line but all you hear when you call now is a message saying the number is no longer valid. Cheryl claims that they voluntarily gave up their tax-exempt status. Sure, when the IRS says it was revoked for violations of federal tax law what they really meant to say is that ORW said, "Please, please,

please let us pay more taxes!" Next I went to talk with a couple members such a Brenna (daughter of clinic bomber) Sullenger and one of Troy's cronies who drove the uncovered Truth Truck to the event. One odd thing you may notice is that there is a huge crate of Troy's books. Looks like nobody is buying Troy's bit o' propaganda so it has to be hauled around until they can find a ditch to dump them in. Well, anyway, this interview didn't go to well as one of the antis decided to start throwing insults and get in a bystander's face trying to provoke a fight. The whiner filed charges claiming he was attacked but as you can see on the tape it's more of a fight between two actors, one intentionally being funny and the other wearing white who had to hold back tears from being so scared. Notice that the guy attacked was wearing a Phil Kline sticker? Imagine what they'd do if he was wearing a Morrison sticker.

The last is my final attempts to talk to Cheryl and Troy. Cheryl just ignored me as she already had plenty of me before. Troy was quite irate and immediately went up to me and attacked me. As you can see he was holding a child. If he cares so much about his child to try to get her involved in a fight imagine how much he cares about other babies. Not only should Troy be charged with battery but also for endangerment of a child. Troy mumbled something about me getting involved in kitty porn. I must say this is completely slanderous and offer this website for anyone experiencing trouble with kitty porn. Stop Kitty Porn

So now you see the sort of people who support Kline. Extremely violence prone. Two people tonight were attacked for simply asking questions. I bring the videocamera for the added security thinking nobody was be insane enough to attack someone on tape. However, I forgot that insane people tend to identify themselves as members of Operation Rescue.

Inside while attempting to file a police report I ran into Mark Gietzen. Gietzen, cordial as always, shook my hand. I asked him about his efforts in paying his tax bill and he accused me of copyright violation. I eventually figured out he was talking about the edited KRAA video below. Too bad I already gave you guys credit for the video. If you want to know about copyright violation ask Troy, he stole a couple photos from us without giving us credit and profited off them. The Maggot Punks obey all copyright laws. (hint, read the alt message on the photo of Jan Beemer to prevent embarassment in the future).

Our friends over at Talk to Action wrote a great article on Troy's "voluntary" loss of tax exemption. They even have a lovely picture of Troy in clown makeup.

September 16, update

The detective on duty at the Metroplex contacted me to finish up details on the incident where Troy Newman, careless of the concerns of his child, went on a Russell Crowe style rampage and attacked a cameraman. The episode was caught on videotape and eyewitnesses were present. The charge is currently one count of battery and possibly a charge of endangerment of a child. The report will go to district attorney Nola Fulston.

Nola Foulston? That name sounds familiar...maybe it's from this quote at the Operation Rescue website, "We believe the lack of indictment by the Grand Jury is the result of corruption and cronyism at the local and state level. Nola Foulston, is a personal friend of Tiller’s and should never have been involved in the investigation in any way." Hmmm, the woman who will be considering the case and Troy considers her corrupt and unprofessional. Troy certainly is one for winning friends.

The Maggot Punks have full confidence in the qualifications of district attorney Nola Foulston. I would also like to express my apologies to Mr. Crowe for any confusion is linking the likes of Troy Newman to your character. Unlike Troy you are a convincing actor and have a real career that is perfectly legal.

ORW Loses Tax Exempt Status

Thanks to the efforts of the Maggot Punks the IRS has finally revoked ORW's tax-exempt status. This is the following announcement from the IRS:

Deletions From Cumulative List of Organizations Contributions to
Which are Deductible Under Section 170 of the Code

Release Date: SEPTEMBER 11, 2006

Published by Tax AnalystsTM

The Internal Revenue Service has revoked its determination that the organization listed below qualifies as an organization described in sections 501(c)(3) and 170(c)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

Generally, the Service will not disallow deductions for contributions made to a listed organization on or before the date of announcement in the Internal Revenue Bulletin that an organization no longer qualifies. However, the Service is not precluded from disallowing a deduction for any contributions made after an organization ceases to qualify under section 170(c)(2) if the organization has not timely filed a suit for declaratory judgment under section 7428 and if the contributor (1) had knowledge of the revocation of the ruling or determination letter, (2) was aware that such revocation was imminent, or (3) was in part responsible for or was aware of the activities or omissions of the organization that brought about this revocation.

If on the other had a suite for declaratory judgment has been timely filed, contributions from individuals and organizations described in section 170(c)(2) that are otherwise allowable will continue to be deductible. Protection under section 7428(c) would begin on September 11, 2006, and would end on the date the court first determines that the organization is not described in section 170(c)(2) as more particularly set forth in section 7428(c)(1). For individual contributors, the maximum deduction protected is $ 1,000, with a husband and wife treated as one contributor. This benefit is not extended to any individual, in whole or in part, for the acts or omissions of the organization that were the basis for revocation.

Thanks to everyone that supported our efforts. It took a couple years to gather all the data, and seemingly longer for the IRS to investigate everything, but working through the legal system has prevailed. It makes one have faith in the government once again.

ORW Endorses Beemer

Not afraid to violate their tax-exempt status Troy Newman, spoke before a meeting of the extreme far right Republican group, the Kansas Republican Action Assembly as a representative of Operation Rescue West bragging about abortion clinics they really didn't shut down. Attending the group was anti-flesh crusader Jan Beemer who is running for 86th district Representative against the very sane, pro-ConstitutionJudy Loganbill. During his self-promotion speech Troy announced that "We need to send people like Jan Beemer to the Legislature..."

Now Troy couldn't possibly be a member of the KRAA, headed by wife beater Mark Gietzen because the bylaws state that members can only be registered Republicans. Troy is a registered Democrat. However I'm sure these little formalities are overlooked because

KRAA edited video
Click on the pic for the vid

Gietzen needs ORW members to fill the room to make him look important.

The included video, originally shot by KRAA (I presented a version I edited to spare people the ramblings of insane people) clearly identifies Troy as speaking on behalf of ORW. Jan Beemer was also in attendance where she made some insane remarks about Baal and how Dr. Tiller makes baby sacrifices to Baal. Baal is the Babylonian rain god. People would make sacrifices to Baal in order to provide rain for their crops. This was seen as a necessity in a desert region such as the Middle East. Back in the day the Hebrew religion was polytheistic and the Hebrew religion often sacrificed people and animals to their gods. However Beemer tries to include Tiller as a person who sacrifices to Baal. Perhaps it's because Dr. Tiller's last name is Tiller so she assumes he's still a farmer and needs the rain to provide a good crop of wheat or something. Who knows, Beemer is insane.

Newman and Beemer go way back. Newman's little side business is real estate. Troy takes his profits from pretending to stop abortion and invests them in properties in Sedgwick and Butler county. He then resells or rents these houses back to suckers who love to live in slums. One of the buyers was Jan Beemer who bought a Newman slum for just $10 above the price Newman paid. Selling at that price while isn't good business unless you buying political favors or laundering money. Beemer's had her own problems with the tax man which the Maggot Punks uncovered. Beemer has since paid those taxes because the antis read this page and informed her of her delinquency.

What's not known is why Troy would try to incur the wrath of another IRS investigation. Catholics for a Free Choice filed a complaint for ORW's anti-Kerry campaign after ORW ran an anti-Kerry ad in a Catholic newspaper. ORW managed to get out of that one somehow. Or perhaps he figured nobody watches anything produced by KRAA because even conservative Republicans consider them a lunatic fringe group.

Now why would Newman be a part of the lunatic fringe in politics? ORW already started their own PAC misnamed Kansans for Truth in Politics run by two people who aren't from Kansas and aren't fond of the truth. Cheryl Sullenger, Troy's right hand man, er woman, is the head of the PAC and Jennifer Mason, wife of bloated sidekick Keith Mason is also a PAC officer. Well it seems all were present at the KRAA meeting. Maybe it was to support their co-worker, the office manager known as Brenna Sullenger who is KRAA's secretary and has the daunting task of reading the meeting's minutes.

Sheesh, it looks like the entire organization has it's hands in politics this year. Perhaps by hiding behind a bunch of other organizations they can get away without an investigation. Let's hope not.

I ran into Mark Gietzen after this story and he was quite upset about the alleged copyright violation. Next time Mark, you need to check the link where I gave your organization credit for the video and said it was edited. For the record Mark, next time you claim we're going to be sued for copyright violations you might check the terms of service with the Yahoo website that's hosting your video. Don't blame us because you were too cheap to get your own server.
