More Antis Cheating the Tax Man

Like Terry Fox mentioned yesterday a couple more self-promoting, self-righteous fundy antis were caught cheating the local governments out of some tax revenue. Judging by the amount these antis need to pay there's a clear indication that these guys make a lot of cash in whatever they are doing.

The first one is Mark S. Gietzen who heads the Kansas Coalition for Life. According to the Sedgwick County website he owes $1769.45 in taxes.

Next is Keith and Jennifer Mason who recently moved here at the bequest of Troy Newman to harass medical doctors and their staff. Keith Mason is a paid "missionary" (they are called missionaries presumably so they don't have to pay payroll taxes) of ORW. Jennifer Mason is one of the officers of the misnamed PAC "Kansans for Truth in Politics". It should be assumed that both these organizations who preach to others values and responsibility fail to take part in any themselves. The Masons owe $1012.54.

They join the ranks of "Reverend" Terry Fox and Jan Beemer who have been reluctant to pay their taxes. Upon reading the story about Beemer she reportedly became very embarassed and paid her tax bill of $59.10. Kudos to her, maybe the rest of these tax cheats will step forward and pay their fair share. The antis are a drain on taxpayers with the number of police and judicial hours that must be used to respond to their constant harassment, it's sad to know that they have no remorse about sticking hard-working Kansans with those bills while they run around with stuffed wallets.

So far these antis deprived vital county services out of $4020.63. Because of low tax revenue the Sedgwick County government is raising the mill levy on people's homes by 8.8%. If tax cheats like these antis paid their bills then the rest of us wouldn't need to be burdened with higher taxes.

Update:

I wrote to all those who still have to pay their taxes and received a response from Mr. Gietzen. He indicated that he was a bit short on funds and thanked me for reminding him about the issue, indicating that he fully plans on paying the taxes that he owes. So far Gietzen and Beemer have stepped up to the plate, how about Fox and Mason, plan on paying your share?

Terry Fox, Tax Cheat

The local media has been abuzz with self-proclaimed Reverend Terry Fox's resignation. Apparently Fox got too bored with beeing a mere mouthpiece in front of his congregation and wants more of the spotlight. As a result he wants to take his tirade of hate beyond Kansas and become the next Jerry Falwell. Recently 300 of his congregation begged him to stay because without him telling them how evil liberals and homosexuals are they can't get through the week. So he'll appease them with a Sunday service provided they can ante up the donations (plus he will keep him nifty tax deductions for being a minister).

However there is one thing the media is missing out on, it's that Fox disagrees with Jesus Christ's notion that we ought to render unto Caesar what's Caesar's and pay our taxes. According to the Sedgwick County website Fox hasn't paid over $1200 in local taxes.

This is chump change to someone who rejects Christ's addage that we should give up our possessions and live as the poor do. Fox has led many crusades against homosexuals and science and demanded that the taxpayer subsidize these efforts with ballot initiatives. Fox must be getting a slight grin knowing that he didn't pay his fair share and stuck all of us taxpayers with the bill.

I tried contacting Immanuel Baptist Church with an inquiry on whether or not his resignation had anything to do with his problems with tax officials. Rather than receive a nasty e-mail filled with insults that I usually get I received no comment. Apparently they don't want this little issue to get out of the bag. My suggestion to Fox is that if he's going to preach morals to the rest of us he should lead by example first.

Vote Early

With the advent of electronic voting machines two presidential elections have been stolen, so have many local elections. This year Kansas received it's first electronic voting machines. The primary went rather smoothly election officials reduced the number of polling stations which can be viewed as a method for encouraging lower voter turnout. Often with low voter turnout the organized christofascist elements get a better turnout at the polls.

I spoke with Secretary of State candidate and author Ron Beattie about the polling situation. He informed me that one person he knew had a difficult time voting with the restructuring. The polling place listed on his voter registration card said he had to vote somewhere else. Going to that different location they told him he had to vote elsewhere, in fact he voting location was beyond nine other voting locations.

The first line must say 11/07/06

To end this sort of problem in the future the Sedgwick County offer applications for advance voting. If you are a registered voter simply click on the photo, fill out the form and drop it off at the Sedgwick County building at 101 N. Main or at the Democratic headquarters and they'll take it over there.

The good news about the primary election is a lot of the candidates endorsed by Operation Rescue West lost. Included among that list is Senator Kay O'Connor who wanted to repeal the 19th Amendment, Ken Canfield whose only position was he was a Christian and Eric Carter who ran for Insurance Commissioner as being an anti-choice candidate. Other theocrats who lost were two anti-science Board of Education incumbants to Republicans who favored teaching science in science class.

The general election in November gives Kansas another opportunity to rid the state of embarassing red splotches. Paul Morrison, a veteran district attorney with years and years of law enforcement experience will challenge Phill Kline who has basically no experience and looks into people's private medical records to satisfy a personal agenda rather than dealing with law enforcement.

Paul Morrison noted that while Kline claims to be fighting against child rapists his peering into medical files of adult women has nothing to do with child rapists. Other remarks that Morrison made at a recent Democratic party meeting was Kline's open violation of the nepotism law. Like Bush, Kline thinks he is above the law and only needs to follow those laws that he thinks should be followed. Kline hired his nephew to be his driver but claimed ignorance to the fact he was hired, and was hired despite being on probation for a drug possession charge and once had his driver's license suspended. Sure his nephew was in the front seat but Kline claimed ignorance of the fact, even Pizza Hut wouldn't have hired Kline's nephew with a record like that. Kline also hired repeat criminal Bryan Brown for the consumer protection division to protect Kansans from people like Bryan Brown. Brown has 12 arrests on his record and owes $61,000 in fines. Brown is in the position to turn a blind eye to Operation Rescue's numerous legal violations and he has done so. Brown used to be a member of Randall Terry's Operation Rescue and was hired solely for his anti-abortion views. Morrison promises to bring back professionalism and integrity to the position of Attorney General and the Maggot Punks support Morrison in this venture. Kline is supported by the terrorist group Operation Rescue West and Troy Newman gave him a $75 campaign donation.

A defeat for Kline means the removal of Bryan Brown which allows the Maggot Punks to continue it's work against Operation Rescue West on a state level.
