Operation Save America must be feeling quite jealous. All week long their "massive" protests that were going to end, what they call, child sacrifices to Satan could only muster about 20 individuals. Their attempts barely got the police attention, and they only managed to get media

attention when they harassed children. Despite their pathetic attempts they served to only slightly annoy the community, a far cry from the days of Randall Terry and Operation Rescue (not to be confused with Troy Newman's equally pathetic offshoot Operation

Rescue West). The only thing that generated a large protest, police and media attention was the community's counter protest against the hate church that invited the terrorists to our community.

Between 50 and 75 high school and college students, including concerned citizens went to Spirit One Christian Center at nine in the morning to protest OSA's and Spirit One's disruptive and offensive tactics. This wouldn't have happened if OSA didn't try to force their beliefs down the throats of children who were simply trying to attend school that day. OSA's media stunt backfired on them as the students generated a front page story about their planned counter protest and a column by Mark McCormick who pondered the question of what sort of Christian would claim to be a follower of Jesus and preach hate to children.

Spunkyflasher and D-cubed attented the event to present the fact that Spirit One invited, along with OSA, a convicted serial rapist who twice raped and kidnapped a child back in Ohio. Scott Heldreth has been travelling with OSA to local schools where children, the same age

age his victim were present. We handed out flyers which had a positive reception from the opponents of fascism, the antis didn't care that a pedophile was in their midst and excused his actions as something merely in the past. At one point Scott took the megaphone and admitted he was a rapist but attributed the crime to the influence of drugs and alcohol. I guess he doesn't need to feel remorse since he doesn't feel he was responsible for his own actions. The rest of the day he continued to preach morals to his potential victims regardless of the fact that he is a hypocrite. All the while the crowd shouted "rapist" every time he spoke. The local media seemed disinterested that such a criminal would be given the red carpet by a church and ignored the story. For some reason the Wichita Eagle referred to him as Reverend Heldrech. Apparently in the fundy community anyone self-righteous and hypocritical enough can call themselves a reverend if they can shout louder than the people around them. Scott is as much of a spiritual leader as I am a Nobel Prize winner. You're a bottom feeder Scott, don't insult truly compassionate reverends by considering yourself one.

No surprise when the cult members left their brainwashing center they charged towards the protestors with demands they bow their knees to their god on a stick. For some reason they think that nobody out there heard of their god or Jesus and they honestly believed their arguments are original. Even if you were engaged in a discussion they felt they can interrupt whenever they want to tell you something you don't care about. If you walk away they will follow you

around. Problem is people like Scott need religion because they have no sense of morals, their parents just didn't raise them right so they need someone else's morals because they never developed their own. For some reason they believe everyone else is just as flawed as them.

Spunky got a live one. He came up to the two of us started blabbering something nobody gave a shit about, probably something about the Bible or Jesus. Anyway Spunky asked him if he thinks it's proper if a woman gets raped that she has to marry her rapist. The guy, absolutely clueless about this and doubtful that a godless heathen, much less a female godless heathen, could possibly know something in the Bible that he doesn't. So he challenged her to look it up. She turns to Deutronomy and repeats to him the passages about if a woman gets raped in the city and doesn't cry out for help she should be stoned for being a rape victim. However if she gets raped in the country then the rapist must marry his victim in order to rape her against her will for the

rest of her life.

Well this godly man with the great sense of the Bible who never heard of this part of the Bible instantly said that we were taking it out of context. How can someone who has never read the passage instantly declare it's out of context? I told him what he was trying to say is that it conflicted with his preconceived notion of his god but it really wasn't out of context since it's quite clear what the Bible said. He said he'd have to study the issue more and I told him we certainly encourage people to read the Bible. Afterall, reading the Bible is the number two cause of becoming an Atheist. The first reason is rational thought.

I have to hand it to organizer Louis Goseland, using the megaphone he managed to drag self-proclaimed pastor Mark Holick out of the protective confines of his brick walled cult. Probably being embarrassed by proving himself to be such an ass he followed Goseland around like a

lovestruck groupie. Louis realized it would be absolutely pointless to talk to a preacher of hate like Fred Phelps, um, I mean Terry Fox, whoops, did I say Joe Wright? I meant to say Mark Holick, so he just continued to ignore him continuing to make Holick look even more pathetic.

Some moron came up to me saying I was forcing my beliefs on Spirit One cult members by holding a sign. Of course I wasn't holding a sign at the time. I don't know how holding a sign is forcing a view upon someone just like putting an ad in a newspaper is forcing someone to buy a product. The deluded fundy thinks that no fundies are forcing their views on the public. If that is the case then I can go and buy a bottle of Kahlua at the liquor store on a Sunday. No, well I guess I can go to the Post Office and mail a package on a Sunday. Um, what about my taxpayer dollars going to support "faith-based" programs that promote Christianity. How about my taxpayer money going to preachers in prisons to convert rapists like Scott to Christ. Maybe another example is requiring students at Fort Hays State University to sign an oath to God in order to work for the school. I can go on and on about religion being forced upon people (creationism, school vouchers, public schools requiring prayers at the beginning of the school day, etc.) but I think that's enough. Anyway, that's the best argument the guy could come up with to stop me from holding a sign

that I wasn't holding, that I was forcing my views on him through the magical power of a piece of paper on a stick. It just goes to show the average IQ of a Spirit One member is enough to get you a job as a greeter at Wal-Mart.

Randy Richardson showed up. Spunky went to confront him about his visit to Candy Krueger's house the day after she died. The story goes that after Candy died Randy showed up to her house to present photos of her children. According to our source Randy presented numerous pictures of Candy's 15-year old daughter, too many which would suggest an unhealthy sexual attraction for a minor. Some photos include indoor shots that can only mean Randy was pressing his smug nose next to the window as some perverted stalker would do. Randy claimed that Candy was his best friend despite the fact that Candy hated him. Before he left he left his phone number so the 15 year old could get in touch with him. Naturally the children didn't take it very well so Spunky went to ask him about it. Randy refused to talk with the camera pointed at him so I pretended to turn it off and pointed it to the ground. The audio picked up his admission that he did go over there and he didn't deny that he took the pictures. That would make Randy as scummy as the rest of the bible thumping antis who love to prey on children in the guise of helping them. Spirit One Christian Center has an uncanny means of attracting pedophile in their congregation.

To much happened to include it all. Spunky and I accomplished our goal of advertising the fact that Spirit One Christian Center invited a pedophile rapist to our community. The news media didn't give a rat's ass that a child predator was set loose at the behest of one of their community leaders. Or maybe they were just upset that we scooped the story before the Johnny Come Latelies could report it.
