We are pleased to announce that Maggot Punks have gone international with the addition of maggotpunks.co.uk/. Modern fundamentalism was an American creation due to the lack of structured religion and educated clergy in the South and frontiers. It was a product of traveling evangelicals and tent revivals. Unfortunately America exported their insanity throughout the world. While Europe is more enlightened in many aspects they still fall victim to a small minority of people succumbing to the cult of fundamentalism. To combat this trend brave individuals in England have joined with the growing Maggot Punk movement to combat the fundamentalist destruction of progress and expose the world to the work of these domestic terrorists who seek to dominate the world with their brand of theocracy.

All Maggot Punk organizations work completely independently as it is the nature of our organization to work without hierarchy. We wish them the best in all that they do and hope that they have complete success of removing the fundamentalist virus from England and all of Europe.

The other day the Maggot Punks received this e-mail from John:

"the fucking criminal bastard" Terry is "spokesman" for the Schindlers.

Normally we occassionally put some responses on the e-mail section but since a specific page was requested we figured why not? D-cubed responds with:

The Maggot Punks usually deal with local matters involving Wichita and Kansas. Like the majority of the American population we feel sympathy for the family for having lost a member of their family. Terri is, what is commonly referred to, a vegetable. Due to oxygen deprevation much of her higher cognitive functions have failed and she relies soley on instinct and autonomic responses.

I watch a video provided by the antis which they claimed was convincing evidence that she is a fully aware, fully functioning individual. I was quite unimpressed. Terri didn't recognize her own mother. She responded to sounds and touch much like a newborn baby would. Judges and doctors involved in the case came to the same conclusion.

Like the majority of America we feel that the blatent showmanship of the conservatives is political opportunism. We, along with the majority of Americans and the majority of evangelical Christians, agree that Congress is violating the Constitution in the matter of trying to get the feeding tube reinserted. The tube supporters are hypocrites. They, meaning a small segment of Christian conservatives, have no problem denying people health care but want to provide it for this one woman. Why not embrace your so-called 'culture of life' and provide universal health care to everyone? Until you do so you will be recognized as the opportunistic gremlins that you are.

Groups like Operation Rescue are just using this as an opportunity to grandstand and get in front of the cameras. Where were these organizations 15 years ago? Where was George Bush? When Bush was governor he had no problem signing a bill that removed life support from a 6 month old child. The bill gave the hospital the right to disconnect life support if the patient had no chance of recovery? Where was Bush when Oregon passed a death with dignity law? He was in Washington sending John Ashcroft to overturn that law. Operation Rescue claims the removal of the feeding tube is cruel punishment but that's what they wanted. When the option to provide a compassionate termination of life was presented they fought it claiming it was against God's will because it takes away God's authority. However, according to their reasoning, it's against God's will to keep someone alive on life support.

So the pro-tube people are hypocrites. Let's see those bills providing health care to everyone, let's see some death with dignity laws passed, let's see those so-called small government Republicans actually advocate small government by keeping out of Terri's life and Florida's jurisdiction. I'm sure I'll see that the moment I see a valid scientific study supporting creationism.
