Today the LORD has visited our land in judgment. An invading force has pierced the shores of our country to wreck havoc and devastation upon on us, on our cities and our people. While we must seek justice, it is America who is guilty of a far greater crime - the murder of our own innocent children ...for certainly we are covered head to toe with innocent blood and we value human life no more than the terrorists flying the jetliners... America deserves, yes warrants the judgment of God... Because we have not hated bloodshed (abortion), bloodshed (World Trade Towers, Pentagon) will pursue America. --Troy Newman September 11, 2001

Roe vs. Wade - 31 Years and Still Going Strong

The "massive" rally assembled by Troy Newman. 21 people showed up at the federal courthouse in Wichita ks to protest reproductive freedom.

Today marks the 31st anniversary of The Supreme Court decision that gave women reproductive rights. This decision also signaled a new era in our culture. Women could now make choices about their own lives, their own families and their own futures. No longer was a woman simply defined by the man she was married to. However, with all drastic cultural changes there are those who oppose it. They site tradition and threats to their own family but most of all they say that God himself objects to such change and any who participates in it or advocates it are outside the realm of biblical authorization and are therefore doomed to hell.

Even when the people of the united states came face to face with the moral question of slavery, there were those advocating it continence based

solely on biblical principal. Here is a quote from Pastor John C. Lord [1]:

The existence of domestic Slavery was expressly allowed, sanctioned, and regulated by the Supreme Lawgiver, in that divine economy which He gave the Hebrew state. The fact is open and undisputed; the record and proof of it are in the hands of every man who has in his possession a copy of the Bible. All the ingenuity and art of all the Abolitionists in the United States can never destroy the necessary conclusion of this admitted divine sanction of Slavery..

Indeed this is a prime example of the reactionary religious right. This hideous interpretation of the bible as justification for slavery is analogous to the rhetoric that we hear from the anti choice crowd. The extreme religious right would have us believe that a woman is merely property. The bible does not, however, forbid abortion. So today the pro choice crowd, most of whom were in Topeka, held a small and brief demonstration outside of Central Women's Services. By simply holding signs and waving at cars, our message was well received by most who drove by. A few apathetic anti-choicers drove by and, being not in God's sight, flipped us off. Oh well, perhaps the learned to do that from Troy Newman.

However, the Maggot Punks are fighters. We want to fight for freedom, we want to fight against religious oppression, we want to fight for privacy, partly because it is the right thing to do but mostly we just like to see the look on FFF's faces!

So off to the Federal courthouse we go. Armed with our own signs and weapons of choice (camera's) we prepared to once again do battle with the Fanatical Fundy Freaks who were trying to destroy freedom and take away women's reproductive rights. However, when we arrived at the courthouse we found only a small group morons who couldn't seem to get themselves organized. One of the

Operation Rescue West "trash" trucks was parked across the street. Amazingly, Troy Newman was not sitting in his car despite the cold weather (You may remember on January 7, 2004, Troy refused to get out of his car to stop abortion because it was too cold - Click here to watch the video). Troy Newman asked everyone to gather 'round in prayer. He prayed that the abortion clinics in Wichita and around the United states would shut down and if they didn't for a calamity to strike down the owners and workers. Troy along with everyone else there has said this prayer several thousand times. We have asked them several times what they thought they were accomplishing by saying this prayer over and over. We usually get "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16)." Well this prayer has been said well over 10 million times in the last 31 years and abortion remains legal and abortion clinics remain open. That means that the 10 million prayers were not effectual, were not fervent or were not said by a righteous man.

The local TV stations had camped across the street so the Maggot Punks lined up to block the view of the circle jerk that was going on on the steps. Troy Newman stood up and shouted

some words of hate and discontent. By this time the TV camera's were across the street and up in Troy's face where he wanted them. He shouted like a rabid dog and honestly looked like Hannibal Lector on a crack binge for moment. He then turned it over to Karen Meyers. You may Remember that Karen attempted to purger herself in open court last week. That's when we decided to let the media know the truth about the speakers. After Karen came convicted felon Cheryl Sullenger. She held up a picture with 19 buildings on it and a 20th space reserved for Women's Health Care Services in Wichita. We asked her if she planned on bombing that clinic as well. We also confronted her about her criminal past right in front of the TV camera's. She stopped what she was saying and walked away.

By this time, the media on the scene was well aware that a dissenting voice was present. The first media representative to seek an alternative viewpoint was Carla Eckles NPR. She actually came to interview Mr Zero before the "rally" began. The 3 local TV stations wound up interviewing Mr Zero as well but only after getting all their sound bytes from the FFF's. At one point, a woman who appeared to be

accompanyingRodney Chandler, turned around and got up in the Maggot Punks faces. She said "why don't you men have some courage and get a vasectomy." To which Mr Zero replied "wanna see my scar?"

She claimed that she knew for sure that Dig Doug Deeper and Mr Zero got Spunky Flasher and Annie Sprinkles pregnant, forced them to have abortions and then threw them away like trash. Mr Zero once again inquired if she wanted to see his scare. After that she walked away. The TV camera's also took note of Dig Doug Deeper and Mr Zero constantly shouting "clinic bomber" at Cheryl Sullenger while she was threatening Dr Tiller's clinic. After Cheryl was done she was treated like royalty by Beath Jett of KAKE news. She gave a 15 minute interview and after she was done we made sure that Beth Jett knew that she had jsut interviewed a convicted terrorist. The KAKE crew packed up to go home and then someone questioned their objectivity. Perhaps getting both sides of the story would be in order, after all, the other media outlets had fulfilled their nagging objective journalism requirements. So she reluctantly granted Mr Zero an interview which was conveniently not aired.

After the 2 "speakers", Troy said "this is your platform"

The archetype of the closed minded and self righteous.

and opened up the floor to anyone who would like to speak. Rodney Chandler was first in line. He went up and mumbled something about how proud he was of Australia for joining in the Iraq war. Sever Courageous Champions of Choice asked to be allowed to speak but Troy pretended like he didn't see us. After Rodney Chandler was done, Troy declared all speaking over and immediately started singing songs.

All in all a pretty lame excuse for a political movement that is supposedly favored by 80% of all Americans. However, any threat to reproductive rights will be met with 5 surly ultra liberal militant atheists called the Maggot Punks.
